ITEA has recently developed and internationally patented, ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion technology which uses high temperatures, oxygen-enriched air and pressurization in an extremely innovative way.
To implement ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion technology ITEA has engineered and installed a 5 MW thermal demonstration unit of its new process at the Research Center based in Gioia del Colle (South of Italy).
In the ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion reaction:
  • there is no flame forefront and the chamber temperature is totally homogenous
  • by using
    • oxygen absorption grade (88-92%)
    • fuel (waste,sludges, heavy oils, petcoke, coal, etc)
    • and recycled gasses (CO2 and water)
  • the ISOTHERM Pwr ® flameless parameters make temperatures very uniform in the whole chamber
  • reaction takes place in the whole reactor at high temperatures, preventing risk of generating dioxin and furan precursors
  • this happens because each molecule of the feedstock passes through uniform high temperature zones and as a result a complete oxidation takes place
