While most standard combustors have problems with bottom ash, that has to be made inert and disposed of in hazardous-waste landfills (resulting in higher costs), ISOTHERM Pwr ® technology transforms the physical form of the ash (bottom ash, fly ash) into inert vitrified slag.
In the ISOTHERM Pwr ® process the ash passes through a homogeneous high temperature zone where it melts to form spherical droplets that tend to coalesce and settle at the bottom of the reactor as vitrified slag: leaching tests are always good.



ISOTHERM Pwr ® process by-products are suitable for industrial applications e.g. in the construction industry, as abrasive materials for sand blasting etc.
  • Most standard incinerators have problems with bottom ash and such ash must be stabilized, encapsulated and disposed of in hazardous-waste landfills, resulting in higher costs
  • In the ISOTHERM Pwr ® reactor, bottom ash is converted to molten slag that transforms to vitrified slag, passing all leaching tests
  • The vitrified slag can be used in road construction, sand/grit blasting etc
