ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion technology intrinsically reduces NOx emissions, and because of the elimination of nitrogen from the combustion air, produces a CO2-rich, sequestration-ready flue gas.ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion technology is showing a quantum leap advancement towards zero emissions for energy-generation industry. Therefore it provides, along with the opportunity to obtain economic benefits by using low value and/or waste feed stocks, an environmental advantage by reducing air and solids emissions, and also by offering the potential to capture and sequester carbon dioxide.
Conventional technologies do not have the capability to extract the CO2 without extremely costly post-combustion measures, while ISOTHERM Pwr ® Flameless Oxy-Combustion configuration can produce a high pressure, high quality CO2 stream. This CO2 can be injected into oil wells for enhanced oil recovery, injected into saline aquifers where it will dissolve naturally, or injected into coal beds for methane recovery.
The environmental benefits of ISOTHERM ® include:
